Important information regarding your re-roof job:

If there are currently two or more roofs installed on your building, Uniform Building Code requires the removal of all existing roofing before a new roof can be installed. If only one roof is presently installed, the Code will allow you to overlay the existing roof provided that the Owner (you?) obtain a structural engineers report stating that the building can withstand the weight of an additional roof.

Some companies and government bodies may choose to loosely interpret the re-roofing requirements of the Uniform Building Code and will propose to install or allow more than two roof systems on a given building. We do not believe that this is legal, ethical, or in the best interests of our customers. However, it is common for some companies in the marketplace to approach re-roofing with a what we can get away with attitude, which ultimately puts the owner at risk. Please be aware of these possible differences when comparing our quotation to our competitors.
